"A good firm until they got into outsourcing American IT jobs to India. Now they are owned by an Indian firm."

What do you like about working at Keane?

"I loved it as we moved from an IT Body Shop into true management and was sickened by outsourcing to India and laying off those who were doing the jobs in the USA."

What don't you like about working at Keane?

"See above"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Leave. And most have, starting companies based upon the old Keane philosophy"

What do you like about working at IBM?

"IBM offered me a lot of variety and a large network. The opportunity to expand your skills was/is available regardless of your background. Although IBM is a technology company, there is opportunity to utilize any skill with additional training in your chosen field."

What don't you like about working at IBM?

"With the introduction of remote and mobile employees, the company culture has been lost. New employees often feel disconnected since they generally work from home. IBM has been said to stand for, I'm By Myself."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Remember people first and respect for the individual IBM has always been high tech as well as high touch. The latter of these may be becoming lost and therefore changing the level of commitment from employees."
