  "I love the fact that there are many different extraction procedures, so it doesn't always feel like I am doing the same test over and over. I can break the monotony of the day by doing additional, smaller extraction procedures that help keep my mind active. Perhaps the most unfavorable part of the job is that I do not get to see the end results of my work. Once we do the extraction, the sample gets sent to another part of the lab and analyzed and I do not get to see the results. It may be days after the extraction has been finished before the analysis is performed. if something is wrong with the results, it is harder to troubleshoot because so many hands have been involved in the process."
