"I experienced an intolerable work environment, including harassment by my supervisor, boss, and lack of help from HR to resolve issues professionally. I left this job because I couldn't handle being ridiculed or made fun of for being gay. I highly recommend looking into a company with more progressive and legal policies."

"Good company to work for, however plant level manger was terrible in his leadership style and the level of micromanaging the process cause for tension in the workplace and not being able to do my job I was hired for."

"The short time period I worked for the company Ppg industries was actually not a bad experience I do believe they should pay more for the kind of work we had to do. The people were respectful and helpful. A good company really. I had no bad experience with them. The company is global as well from my knowledge. I did not talk with my supervisor much. Our relationship was not above average but with more time in the company I would have gotten closer. I was cool with the plant manager ( CEO) or GM he was the Big Boss of the plant."

"Having worked for PPG for the last eight years, I grew attached to the company as I moved up its rankings. The personnel in the architectural coatings department are some of the best people in the industry, however, the company as a whole is very conservative and not willing to take risks in order to grow the business. I left the company in search of a new career path - learning to tattoo. However, the opportunity to work in the medical marijuana field calls me back to the lab."

"I have only worked with PPG for several months now but the company seems to take great care of their employees. The benefits are much better than previous jobs I have had. There are also plenty of opportunities to move up in the company."

"PPG is a company with vast opportunities and resources. Its global scope make it attractive in many ways however, it can do far better with employee engagement and development. Lost in the focus for quarterly results is the long term perspective which requires building solid benches for future leadership and innovation."

"Most of the people there are low key back stabbers, depending on what department you are working in, you are pretty much told up front how this place operates. You really will do better off finding something that accepts all ethnic without prejudice."

"PPG has good benefits, no weekend work and an onsite health office. I was in a dept with 11 CSR's and some co-workers were great to work with. Others thought they were better than others. Training is poor. The supervisor does not know how to do the job. Workers usually work 10-12 hour days. As a new hire, if you transfer from another dept. or have a contact who has tenure, you will do fine. If not, good luck in getting fair treatment."
