"The business is very cyclical and if the client you primarily work for cuts back, you'll likely be the first to go."

"There was no job security, just the illusion of it. Some people were rather stressful to work with at times. They didn't really provide developers with top-notch equipment. Had to get by with the bare minimum at times."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"If you don't think you'll be able to keep people on long term, hire contractors. Put emphasis on people not fancy desks, coffee dispensers, and wastepaper baskets."
