Working at Piramal Pharma Solutions in Lexington, KY: 1 Employee Reviews

Piramal Pharma Solutions Employee

"High turnover of upper management and Quality personnel. Most come here looking for a step up the corporate ladder, then realize it's not a ladder but a greased fire pole. They hire you in to do a certain job, then ask you to do everything but your job when there is no one else available to perform because of the 50% attrition rate. The GM does not value skill - he values young employees with no pharma experience - puts them in key positions to groom them, listens to and encourages their gossip, and lashes out at anyone they don't like based on that gossip. The leadership team has no vision or skill, other than verbally abusing managers and publicly shaming them in the morning meetings. The leadership team also isn't concerned with skill, but rather how good you are at demeaning your crew. Corporate keeps promising technology-based solutions, hiring people to implement, then reneging. The VP of Quality is completely inept, has made promises to clients the site was not capable of delivering on, then blaming others for her failure. Within a year's time, she has had close to 100% turnover and has a hard time filling Quality positions due to the fact that her reputation precedes her locally and no one wants to work for her. Most people realize the hopelessness quickly, and for this reason, people leave within a year. Generally, the experienced people leave, rather than stay and get taken advantage of. I've been here a while. I thought it would be better when the current GM came, but after a year and a half, it's not better, he still can't seem to get the site to make money, and morale is at an all-time low. He gives pretty speeches in the all employees meeting, but nothing that's meaningful to any outside of the Leadership team."
