"I began working when the company was called Aegis Lightwave. An enjoyable start-up company in which I felt my contributions were meaningful. After many years the company was sold to II-VI Inc. and Aegis Lightwave become merged with Photop Inc of China. Many long-time employees left the company as a corporate tone slowly had overtaken the company. The production and engineering of the Aegis products were gradually moved to China. The new company Photop Aegis is not the fun company it used to be."
