"If you want to advance, you will have to be the driving force. Also, it is difficult to make headway with so much red tape."
What don't you like about working at City of Costa Mesa?
"There is little job security and we are demonized as union thugs."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Hopefully find a different CEO who valued the employees. Our City Council cares little for public safety."

"I enjoy the people, the equipment, salary and the time off."

"Conduct more training, stop pushing the self study CDs, train more, stop giving prior air force promotion opportunities, and job offers."

"No promotion potential, and no support from management. The only people that promote are prior military."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Listen to floor firefighters, show your face at the stations. Know everyone's job."

"Always had the best equipment available to better manage patient care, Some of the best coworkers to work with. Never had a bounced check. Volunteered Medicars during holiday for Tour of Lights a way to get the geriatrics in nursing homes out to see the Christmas lights"

"Enjoy your time here - the company does want its employees to grow, offering a paramedicreimbursement program, and good benefits. Learn what you can from your coworkers, they are always helpful."
What don't you like about working at A-TEC Ambulance?
"Mismanaged, unneeded layoffs, only to decide that things were better off the way they were shortly after. Changed to micromanaging with the addition of operations managers."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Please get rid of the backstabbing administrators, and spend some more time in the field before you decide that cutbacks look good on paper and are less practical. Provide better training for station managers."

"I loved the people I worked with. It was like we were each others family."

"Just be yourself. you do not have to be fake here. I am an outgoing person. I tend to put my foot in my mouth. I never had to worry about it here. They instantly accepted me. I never felt judged."

"The work was boring"
