"I've worked for Parallax Inc from 2005 to 2014 as the sole layout engineer. Working directly with the owner of Parallax who designed and simulated the schematics, I took his schematics and converted them to layout. On average the schematics changed every 2 to 3 weeks, in some cases requiring me to re-layout previous work. To someone "outside" of the research and development loop, progress seems slow to backwards at times. Parallax is a great place to work, but at times, the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. Pay increases have been on hold since 2008, so don't expect much compensation there, you must have passion in what you want to do at Parallax and accept what they are willing to offer."
