PacifiCorp and Rocky Mountain Power combined serve over 1.6 million customers. Utah Power and Light merged with PacifiCorp in 1987. Over 70 percent of the energy generated comes from thermal sources such as coal and gas. 22 percent of the power generated comes from other contracts or supplies. The remaining sources include power generated by hydroelectric and wind power.
