"The job pays great, however, you'll never see days off unless you're suspended or you use vacation time, which isn't available to use til after your first 90 days so prepare to be working for what feels like forever. Summer and winter are brutal so make sure you dress appropriately for it. It's typically freezing during the cold months due to the machinery on each line being malfunctional and or absolutely broken in its own interesting way. They'll give you numbers to hit in hopes of seeing time off on the weekends, but it's a lie, the numbers are impossible to hit and if you do get close to the goal or meet it, they'll add to it so they can get "caught up", or move you to a different line over the weekend. Employee turnover rate is HIGH, management will see every other weekend off but you won't, not unless you want to be fired. If you have a family that you need to support or you really want to stack some money up it's great, but it isn't the most ethical place I've ever worked for. There's no union so complaining is pointless. If you're unhappy on your shift, be prepared to wait a while to switch shifts, potentially a year if you fight for it, if you don't you'll be stuck. You'll grow close to your coworkers due to the shared misery of being on a 7 day a week schedule as long as you're employed there, but don't fret, as soon as a holiday rolls around you'll see a maximum of 2 days off, if that (just depends on how behind they are on parts and what line you work on). Overall there are things that could be better but there are things that could be worse. Everyone is friendly, but what sense would it make to be at odds with anyone you have to see every day. You'll be charged a small fee of $5 and some change out of every check, but you'll be allowed 1 opportunity to smoke a day, that's it. If you do want to smoke outside of that, do it at your own risk, according to them you don't get a break, you get a relief period and a cigarette isn't relief."
