"Our beginning is a daycare that looks wonderful on the outside, but the inside tells a different story. Turnover is high (80-90%), morale is low, and work/life balance for administrative staff is extremely poor (55-60 hour work weeks are expected, as well as availability to the Founder 24/7 by phone or email). The owner uses verbal abuse, intimidation, and manipulation to manage her employees, and this shows in the toxic work environment: in a six-month period, out of a staff of about 30 people, four quit with little to no notice citing stress and/or health reasons. I have personally witnessed people crying at work--some even walking off the job mid-shift in tears!"
