"I've been working for OSU College of Engineering at IT at the Engineering Helpdesk since 2018. It is a really nice place to work. I get to collaborate with engineers from different backgrounds to troubleshoot and solve complex issues."
"Oregon State University is a *big* place - I am constantly amazed at the number of projects across departments, centers, and other units that I had no idea about, even though they are very relevant to my work there. By the same token, OSU is often fragmented, the administration's funding priorities change easily, and not everyone is as collaborative or friendly as you'll hear. But I think at least this last bit is changing, as attitudes about university workplaces change nationwide."
"People are kind there, but the town is too small."
"Good Place to work and grow."
"Great opportunity for pursuing higher education and learning how to thrive under pressure."
"Review must be at least 25"
"I have worked in this laboratory for more than 2 1/2 years conducting research to develop advances and innovations in manufacturing processes. This is a great place to learn and grow."
"Oregon State University's department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is a great place to be a graduate student. Having an office in Kelley Engineering Center was a real pleasure. The research we are doing is cutting edge in numerous fields, and many of the professors are great to work with. There are numerous labs stocked full of solid equipment at your disposal. The CGE union is always fighting for us graduate students to get even better benefits. If you are considering a masters or PhD in ECE, you should consider OSU."
"Perfect place for living/doing research; nice people, located in small but quite and beautiful town."
"The job was great for a full time student."
"The university is a really good place to work. Everyone is nice and you have two vacations every year. The health insurance package is quite good as well."
"Work environment is relaxed and collegial. Unless you are a professor however you will never make much salary here. Research Associates can earn up to about $45k but no more, even after 10-15 years."
"Excellent working environment."
"This is a great university to learn knowledge and gain experience."
