Director of Strategic Relationships

"Olivet Nazarene University strives to care for the whole student, academically, spiritually, mentally and physically. Here, you are equipped to succeed in the classroom and more importantly, in the real world. The small class sizes, exemplary professors and staff make this an education with a purpose. Working here feels more like a family than a job."

"As a student-worker at a college university, there are not a lot of opportunities for advancement and the pay is low. However, the work environment is outstanding and certainly makes up for that."

What do you like about working at Olivet Nazarene University?

"The kids are great and very well mannered. Most of the faculty have learned to play nice."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"If you are an Olivet grad coming home to roost, you will be welcomed. Mediocrity loves company. Anyone else will never ever ever make it big here, no matter what you do or how well. It is a CLOSED society, locally known as a CULT SCHOOL. Beware!"

What don't you like about working at Olivet Nazarene University?

"It's zombie-land. The people are robots. All interpersonal relationships are superficial. Everyone is afraid to act anything other than PERFECT. Honesty always takes a back seat to smiley-faces. can you say in-bred There's little diversity, little educational professionalism, no research, but lots of posturing."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Just because they can say the J-word doesn't make them Christians. Being a Nazarene does not make a person a Christian. The focus on bodies, bucks, and buildings is more appropriate at WalMart than a private college. I would get the management - most of whom got their degrees on line - get out of their executuve tower and into the classrooms to see what's really going on. Or else hire better leaders."
