"As evidenced by their out of date administrative files and database backlogged to 2012, OK Ethics itself is extremely disorganized. You will not receive a calendar of important dates because the CEO (technically the Executive Director because they are a 501c3) is always working on her own side projects. She keeps busy with several boards, writing projects, and other commitments that are entirely unrelated to OK Ethics. Due to her prioritization of activities, focus is diverted from her management responsibilities. Don't be surprised if you get slammed with last minute projects every couple of weeks which you are expected to complete by working ALL HOURS of the day/night. These last minute deadlines could have been prevented if the CEO was forward thinking enough to plan out in advance important dates like board meetings, award ceremonies, etc. She prefers not to be inundated with Admin duties, which is completely understandable, but because of this she does not know how to complete any of the duties that she will request you to do. Therefore, you will receive no training or adequate direction and be left primarily to your own devices in order to complete projects. The biggest issue with OK Ethics is the lack of organization and professionalism. Be prepared to deal with the challenge of a mismanaged non-profit that is reeling from high turnover in a key support position. Red flag warning if you intend to accept this position, there have been 4 employees hired as member care coordinator in the previous 2 years. One was employed for a year, another lasted less than a year and another lasted all of two days. I believe the high turnover rate is not because of the work itself or the difficulties of the job functions. More than likely it is a lack of professional communication and unskilled executive leadership. It should have made me re-think accepting the position when the CEO started making negative comments about my predecessor, major red flag warning."
