"Just took over a year to get paid."
"What once was a roiling pot of creativity filled with adventurous professionals has degenerated into a bean-counter, stick in the mud culture. The open design of the offices is quite nice if sometimes noisy, but the 11th Ave location is a long haul to get to and freezing cold in the Winter. Ogilvy NY has had a series of very bad years with lots of layoffs, very few pay raises and no bonuses. Management lies and misleads employees. When the times got tough the talented bailed."
"Work and no play - no job satisfaction for the efforts you make, no recognition, the management chews you up and spits you out. The company hires hopeless idiots to be in charge and lead million dollar brands. The work they win with is scam, the awards they get are bought. I wouldn't ever recommend this place as an employment opportunity unless your plan is get in, get the money, and get out."
"Ogilvy needs to update its way of doing business."
"I've been working as a designer for over 10 years.I'm a Senior Visual Designer (UX/UI) at Ogilvy Brasil. Over the last years, I've had the opportunity to work with leading brands such as Coca-Cola, Unilever, Claro, Dove, Sony, Billboard, IBM, among others, and amazing people in Europe, America and Asia.I'm always looking for ways to provide value for people and things."
"I hate working here. The pay is very low and the work is unchallenging. I've been here for years and I've been denied a raise. I barely make enough for New York City living. I was told to save my checks. I tried to change departments and was denied."
"I was at OPR in SF for 2 years and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The senior leadership care about only themselves and filling their pockets (at any cost), not the quality of work, or the people actually doing the work. We did 360 reviews, but management never saw the results on themselves. Management will pass of junior staff ideas as their own. Horrible place to work."
"Great company to work for. Best agency in the world and really a fun vibe place, especially if you are into the creative side of things."
"Great company with a great work environment."
"A recognizable company with decent benefits and work-life balance. One can feel "lost in the crowd," as can be expected with larger organizations."
"a fine establishment."
"I worked at Ogilvy Worldwide for 13 years in many different roles. The plus side, I enjoyed working with my coworkers, there, and the C suite management is top notch and a pleasure to work with. One thing to keep in mind, it is part of a massive corporation, and is run as such. If you are interested in expressing yourself creatively, this is not really the place. However, it is a great place to learn marketing and advertising."
