"No suggestions on this area. Teaching students was a joy to do"

"I really didnt dislike anything about being a preceptor to the students"

"No suggestions for management. We were fully supported for being a preceptor."

"The students, some of them, are great. Some of the faculty are good but the spirit of collaboration is dampened. Most faculty are miserable."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Notice how the dean will be all smiles and sweet. She will withhold information and can make snap hostile decisions. She is not leading the college forward."

What don't you like about working at University of Central Florida?

"The dean has no vision other than posturing and image. Very superficial, very mean, very bipolar. The technology is good but there is nothing else about the place that is current, up-to-date or forward-thinking."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Dean really should retire and let others move the college forward. You were lucky to be dean- right place at right time-but you do not have the skills for the job. Backstabbing will not help you."

"The university requires a PhD for permanent hire and there is no room for promotions or salary increases without the PhD"

"Encourage good faculty to obtain terminal degree by allowing for promotion and salary raises while the faculty obtains the terminal degree"

"Lack of professional development, lack of support, catering to students and allowing them to dictate policy."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Development the staff, support them, improve salary and benefits to attract more qualified people, do not allow students to have the idea that they can buy a degree for the price of admission. It's more important to pass board exams than to like every instructor."

"At first, staff was given the trust to teach with minimum supervision and scrutiny as long as results were positive."

"Be yourself, show an interest in making the numbers."

What don't you like about working at Unitek College?

"The new supervision has a micro-management policy and the promises they make aren't kept.In addition, inept management stepped in with many staff leaving as a result."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Place the student first, treat them with dignity and show them the riches within them and the school will have much success. Afterall, without the students we are out of business!"
