"I would ask about the orientation process. I was told there was an extensive orientation process but it was not structured."
What don't you like about working at St. Joseph Hospital?
"There is no educational department. They provided no orientation to the role of NP."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"To work on the orientationprocess. They also need to work with the clinical people before they make decisions for the clinical providers."

What do you like about working at University of Miami?
"Challenging discipline and people. It was wonderful to be in an atmosphere where research and clinical practice took place."

"You need to love what you are doing and the general environment."

"The tension of the institution's financial issues resulting in lack of support for our program."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Pre anticipatory financial guidance and closer assessment of monies invested by the university."

"Nothing to like about this company. It needs much growth and internal support."

"Run, turn and run. I would not apply to this company."
What don't you like about working at Aveta?
"They are not honest, they do not provide the needed support to their employees."

"Communicate and provide the needed support to your employees. Be honest!"

What do you like about working at Emory Children's Center?
"The academic environment is second to none. There is a lot of research being performed. There is always some type of professional education available."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Interviewing stinks. Interview is with 2 people who are 'certified' in their brand of behavioral interviewing. The 'tell me when' type of thing, except they are so busy writing down what you say that it's very disconcerting, b/c you are talking to the tops of their heads. Occasionally, the interview is with the MD's that are hiring for their dept., then it is a 'regular' interview."
What don't you like about working at Emory Children's Center?
"Top down style of mgmt - do more with less. Very stressful environment, especially for non-providers. Providers - MD's & mid-levels are treated very well. RN's & ancillary staff - not so much."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Mgmt, especially at the clinic and dept levels are either incompetent, or have been there forever so are hard to get rid of - or know who's butt to kiss. There are always new 'initiatives' being planned, where everyone goes to meetings, spends tons of time developing the initiatives. Ultimately, nothing changes."

"No not right off hand it was a get job but unfortunately it was a subcontracted job through the federal goverment."
What don't you like about working at Transportation Security Administration?
"There was a lot of travel and living out of hotel some of the places we traveled to were not that clean nor safe."

"Interesting work"
What do you like about working at Planned Parenthood?
"They expect the best from their employees and give their best back. Leadership roles are developing for staff nurses, great progressive planning and execution with forward thinking in providing reproductive health care. Planned Parenthood provides exception educational opportunities in-house. For the most part their are far more great reasons to work there than not."

"Take the time to review the Planned Parenthood website of the region you are interested in working. There are also many programs and projects going."
What don't you like about working at Planned Parenthood?
"The high number of expected visits, non-flexible hours for clinic staff."

"Stay in touch with the clinic staff and the surrounding communities."

"It depends upon the location. IHS is different everywhere you go."
What do you like about working at Indian Health Service?
"The population."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"You need to research what population you would be serving. The locations are all very different. It's a good learning place but due to limited funding is not very innovative. Lot of historical issues and it takes time to win acceptance."
What don't you like about working at Indian Health Service?
"Very inefficient. Not cutting edge. Difficult to find proper care for patients in referral to specialists."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Put the mission of patient care first. Organize like the private sector. Accountability is almost nil because it is a federal agency."

"The group of physicians I worked with were extremely competent and well trained and they genuinely cared for others."

"I would still work there if I would not have relocated."
