What do you like about working at National Hockey League?

"I loved the people. Everyday, I had a chance to work with people who were not only hard working but genuinely nice people."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"The NHL was a business and I was there to make money for the Club and the League. Unfortunately, I interviewed and met with a lot of fans which is fantastic but at the end of the day, the NHL has a fiscal goal that they must meet."

What don't you like about working at National Hockey League?

"Unfortunately, I joined the NHL after the lockout so they were restaffing quickly. Soon after, a decision was made to reorganize the executive management, which had an obvious trickle down effect. The corporate structure was so unstable that I found middle-senior management in limbo on several occasions."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I knew that working in sports the pay would not be adequate nor the working hours but I wish that management communicated more with their employees. I would have many projects and initiatives sitting in limbo for long periods of time because there wasn't any direction given from senior staff."
