"As a part of my master's program in Sustainable Technology, I decided to use my education and research to help a local business manage their waste stream. My interest was peaked by the New River Distilling Company when I discovered they specialized in the refinement of hemp. I started as an intern, which later developed into a full-time Lab Technician position as I am finishing my degree. Within less than a month, I was appointed to Quality Assurance Manager due to my previous experience within Food Safety, HACCP, and Quality Control in the restaurant industry. As it stands, I am currently helping New River Distilling become cGMP certified and develop Food Safety, HACCP, and Injury &Illness Prevention Programs."
