What do you like about working at NeoPhotonics?

"It was a fast paced environment and I was able to work in an industy I knew NOTHING about and I still learned quickly and became one of the best employee's there. I got to show everyone that although I did not have a similar educational or career background as they did, I was still able to succeed at a fast pace."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"I would suggest you just be honest and be yourself. Also, have confidence in what you say and be able to support your words with action. Have a good level of self awareness and live up to that image and do not present yourself as someone you are not but would like to be."

What don't you like about working at NeoPhotonics?

"There was not that much room for upward movement after a certain point. But mainly the negative aspect was that Santur was experiencing a decrease in demand and the company was affected greatly for that."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"My suggestions for management would be to educate and lead your employees not just manage them. The pacesetting type of leadership works in some instances but not all of them and should never be used as the primary tool of motivation. Taking on a more coaching, visionary, or round table approach would be best."
