"I've worked for NAVSEA for 2 years. It's a great place to start your Software Engineering career, but you'll only get out of it as much as you put in. There is very little direction, which means you need to have an independent attitude about finding projects and getting work done."

"The people were great and so mastered in their respective crafts, they were also friendly and dependable"

"Be a psychological warrior, is what I was told when I was hired. I'd go with that."

"The management scheme was not working to the best of its abilities, there were alot of arguments and fights between employees and the boss, hostile work conditions, lack of creative freedom"

"let your engineers and craftsmen do their jobs the way they know how"

"Make production and task accomplishment the primary standards for employee evaluation. Everything else is a personal problem."

"Naval Sea Systems Command is good to its employees. It offers opportunities for training, advancement, and opportunities to excel. Unfortunately with Sequestration in affect, many previous benefits have gone away. There are not as many opportunities for advancement, no award money, and opportunity to travel has been significantly reduced or eliminated. This is no fault of Naval Sea Systems Command."
