"Great work environment with a healthy work/life balance. Would recommend working here to anyone."
"NAVAIR is a good place to work. They help you understand the inner workings of the Navy engineering and can get you close experience with the many systems."
"Good collaborative and supportive work environment. Slow paced at times."
"I intern at NAVAIR from May 2019 to August 2019. The work that I was tasked with was associated with avionics. I learned about the different aspects of the navigation system used on the C-130 aircraft used by the military. Also, I feel that the group of engineers that I worked with were very helpful and happy to answer any questions that I had."
"Excellent working environment and supportive team, terrible location."
"Been working here for five years now. It is a good, long-term place to work if you are hired on the intern program or are a lady. Career building assignments and promotions are given to these folks with minimal effort on their part. For retired military folks, do NOT expect special treatment. Like promotions, positions are mostly reserved for family and friends of family. Real Leadership is, close to, non-existent. The younger ladies are propelled up the ladder so fast that proper leadership skills are not learned and the knowledge to do the job is severely lacking. The leadership and life skills of retired military are devalued and absolutely not utilized."
"If you are looking for a low stress environment, then a civilian engineer for the Navy could work for you. Putting up with the bureaucracy and stereotypical government employee has become too much for me and I would rather pursue a career surrounded by more driven people in a more challenging environment where career development and upward mobility is possible."
"NAVAIR is a great organization to work for. Supporting the fleet is a very fulfilling endeavor."
