Working at Mx Technologies in Lehi, UT: 2 Employee Reviews

Mx Technologies Employee

"MX is like a techie cult. Everyone seems nice at first, the company seems awesome too, but as you get to know how they got where they are, the contradictions between their belief or values and how they do business, you realize you are in a toxic environment. They say they are agile, but what they really are is ignorant and liars. They wait to be funded to then come up with good products. They are not the only company to do this, but they are the one I am glad I quit from."

"The company has some great things going on for it. Their values are something that drive the company's culture quite well once the same are assimilated. They have great unlimited PTO. Great snacks, Free lunch on Tuesdays and Thursdays, a relax atmosphere, all of which motive the employees to be entrepreneurs within their role (to an extent of course). Company is growing fast which is good and bad. Great opportunities to step in and help drive the company forward. Bad because the frustration that comes along from the challenge of keeping the culture is real if you care about the company's culture. Some more of the negative imo are, seniority and tenure do play a role in how opinions and ideas are taken, they suffer from denial on that, sometimes it seems like you just joined a cult (not everyone), most leadership is very inexperienced, the concept of leadership is twisted. All the common problems of a small business transitioning to a growth phase that does not know how to promote leadership effectively. There is a lack of organization on how to go about processes. Many lack training or people skills. There is no clear training and development systems in place. The company could do better at passing down the strategic plan down the "ranks"."
