"Musician's Friend's offices in Medford were a great place to work. Great people!"
What do you like about working at Musician's Friend?
"It was a team effort! It was one of the few places you could come close to a living wage in the Rogue Valley."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Make sure you check the cost of living in West Lake Village."
What don't you like about working at Musician's Friend?
"Mostly, that they left my area. I felt like sometimes the quality of the promotions suffered because they were pulled and replaced before we could really get the full picture of how the current one was working. We should have had a little more, "Should we make this happen?" along with, "Can we make this happen?""
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Come back. Listen to the people who are working with the tools everyday more closely than you listen to the outside opinions. An outside perspective is important, but still not as valuable as the people who are in the trenches every day and have been for a long time."
"Horrible management, office politics, and corporate red tape everywhere. Communication between marketing department and creative services is nonexistent, which results in poor execution of promotional campaigns. Employees are treated poorly with no incentive or positive feedback. Uncomfortable office environment, run down facilities, and pretty much a soul-sucking place to work if you are a creative and optimistic person."
What do you like about working at Musician's Friend?
"All of the learning and research I was able to do, and I met and have some good friends from there."
What don't you like about working at Musician's Friend?
"My job was to report problems, no one wanted to address all of the issues that I encountered."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Train your employees thoroughly and follow up to see if they understand their duties."
