"I worked for M&T bank for three months as an intern. It was a fantastic experience for gaining professional programming experience within an agile work environment. The work culture is very friendly and relaxed, and my supervisors were great mentors who thought me numerous valuable skills. Overall it was a great experience, however I personally feel that I would be better suited for a position in the field of game design."

"M&T Bank is a sweat shop. They have no idea what associate retention is, and they unknowingly encourage salary competition at the lowest possible wage. Additionally, the IT and computer resources there are lacking. Associates on the floor surfing the web (Pandora, facebook, myspace, etc) while talking to customers, and those that need to search google for a legit answer can't even get on Stack Exchange. This also leads to extreme network slowness that everyone encounters, but the management is and executives are okay with people not being productive, because this issue is only one of a dozen bottlenecks which include all technology infrastructure. They have better stuff available, but will pay top dollar for the lowest technology without a second thought, making everyone suffer. Many managers pre-date modern technology and find that acceptable, and so they also don't know how to utilize it or what actual management means, causing more confusion."
"It is a very consistent and reliable place to work. However, for young people, it can easily become boring as the location is slow-moving and everyone operates at a very predictable place. There are many meetings and lots is required to get your work done in terms of approval and clearances. Overall, a great place for some, but not for all."
"Pathetic HR Department."
