1.2Upper management teams do not have any life science experience, and tend to make decisions in an ad hoc manner, and are micromanagers. Most sought-after employees are ready for the rough and rumble, and less likely to be top-of-class candidates. Trouble is, the majority of them tend to leave as quickly as they sign on, hence the turnover is high. They invest little in talent retention and culture building. There's been several harassment cases here especially toward upper management in operations who can be very deranged due to lack of self-esteem, stems from complete lack of experience and inadequate understanding of science, other than experience in packaging. Beware if you join, get your alternative plan as soon as possible. Lack of direction, completely clueless. Don't TRUST the bonus plan, you will not get a penny of it. Negotiate your base salary if you can and go hard on the negotiation. Salaries tend to be on the lower end of the spectrum if you use online for comparisons. If you speak chinese and can finger lick the CEO then you can advance in this company. Very toxic culture! Even worst, they don't produce anything, just a repacking business and poor quality.
2.5Hands down one of the worst places I have ever worked. There was lots of turnover in upper management with good managers being continuously replaced by incompetent ones. There was no strategy for moving the company forward. New ideas were shunned or approved but not implemented. Coworkers were very nice but have little influence. Little room for career growth or advancement. Outdated systems and procedures. Everyone is trying to leave to escape the toxic culture.
