"Behemoth dinosaur of a company that is so dysfunctional that its top executives actively encourage their employees to internally change the company, but their middle management punishes the employees when change is even just talked about."

"If management would invest in the people, this company could be great again."

What do you like about working at Motorola Solutions?

"A steady paycheck."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"In its current state, why bother. If you are determined to be a Motorolan though, be honest, be forthright, speak up about yourself and your accomplishments and how you can apply your experience to the job in question."

What don't you like about working at Motorola Solutions?

"Motorola use to be a place with excellent benefits, offering a chance to work on the latest technologies, with a management that seemed to care about its workers. That is all gone. The benefits have dwindled over the years as the company has hit on hard times. Motorola no longer leads in technology development and is barely following along a path blazed by others. And lastly and most discouraging, management has given up any pretext of caring for its employees."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"1. Motorola's wealth has always been in its wonderful people. You have fired most of those and discouraged all that remain. Motorolans use to care about giving their best because we believed in the company. We no longer believe in management though. The current Motorolan does what he believes he has to in order to keep his job. 2. Pick a direction! Pick a dream! Sell it to us and we will make it a reality! All I've heard from management lately is where we've been and where we are. At lunch today someone told me he asked a VP if the company had a 5 year plan and got the response, Not that I've been told. 3. Bring the jobs back to the U.S.! We did a wonderful job of being a U.S. company selling products worldwide. We are doing an awful job of being a multinational company."
