Customer Care Manager
in Grand Island, NY

"They lacked vision, bought a company to replace our div and it was no fit."

What do you like about working at Moore Research Center?

"My boss was a very honest lady (Liz CHurchill) who challenged me, but let me do my job without micromanagement. I also liked the almost academic atmosphere of the researchers many of whom were doctorates."

What don't you like about working at Moore Research Center?

"The upper management lacked vision. After we proved that the business model of giving away our systems automation at cost, to get the residuals of Media and service contracts, Moore bought a company to replace our div. In theory this should have been a good thing, but they did not do a good job of matching up the cultures of the two. Further, the employees who weren't in sales or middle management or above were all let go from the Moore side. The company Peak Technologies was focused on small to medium businesses, their customers were just numbers to them, we (Moore) on the other hand had gone after large corporations and did everything for the customer. It wasn't a good match, and after just a couple of years, they sold off the company (Peak) and closed the research center."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Get rid of exchange, look into more open systems for your servers (i.e. Linux) and be prepared to do more with less on a global scale."
