Working at Mood Media in Fort Mill, SC: 1 Employee Reviews

Equipment Services Project Manager

What do you like about working at Mood Media?

"Benefits and PTO are good. I feel satisfied that I can accomplish the job tasks and like the feeling of a job well done. We listen to music all day and the casual dress code is nice. I get along well with my direct supervisors."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Run away. Run far, far away. They won't train you, yet within a few months, you'll find they've streamlined your department in such a way that you're doing 4 people's jobs. They've had us on pay freeze for over 4 years."

What don't you like about working at Mood Media?

"Upper management is the main problem. Today, they laid off a man who spent is life working for the company, was passionate, and great at what he did. He has brain cancer and 18 months to live. They laid him off, along with around 100 other people, and our new ceo says he made the decision within 48 hours notice AND he has no plans for the future or where the company is going... not very inspirational. He also jokes at least we didn't do this on Friday!. What a relief."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Our sales department is a mess. They consistently sell jobs that are in the red and will cost the company money. There is NO profitability margin and they are not held accountable. The higher ups are at such a loss for how things actually work that they can't see where the money is being lost and they end up cutting jobs of those who support our clients in an effort to stay afloat. Our clients end up dissatisfied with our services because we are under staffed to support them. The people making the decisions have no idea who does the key job functions and pays large commissions to the people that are bleeding them dry whilie the support staff pays the price with their own jobs. Either higher management is trying to fluff our sales by taking these red jobs so as to lure share holders into investing, or they are just plain stupid. Either way, this company won't be around much longer if it continues in this fashion."
