"IT TRULY SADDENS ME. BEING A AFRICAN AMERICAN IN 2019 THAT WE STILL HAVE TO PUT UP WITH RACISM, PREJUDICE PEOPLE ANDJUST BEING DISCRIMINATED AGAINST. MY MOTHER BROKE OUT AND TEARS WHEN I CALLED HER AND TOLD HER EVERYTHING. I WORK FOR THIS COMPANY AS A CONTRACTOR FOR 1 yr & 2 months. After completing multiple contracts after contracts and being promised to get hired on UNTIL THIS PAST THURSDAY AND HERES WHY. Two weeks ago me and the guys in the lap department on nights held a meeting with a HR guy named JOHN MARTINEZ. In this meeting we brought up our concerns of being targeted & discriminated against because we’ve been working there for more than a year and we felt like we were being denied employment as blacks in the lap department while every Hispanic they came in was hired IMMEDIATELY. Come to find out that JOHN MARTINEZ was the one that was hiring these guys straight in. From the 3 guys that work in the cage, to the guy who works in inspection & also the guy who works in Expediter and more but As we continued with the meeting I BROUGHT UP MORE KEY FACTORS OF WHY WE WERE BEING DISCRIMINATED AGAINST. His face cringed. He Turned red, Couldn’t answer any questions and was Sweating profusely. So The next day JOHN MARTINEZ CALLED A PRIVATE MEETING AFTER A GROUP MEETING WITH CERTAIN PEOPLE IN THE WAREHOUSE. During this meeting JOHN MARTINEZ STATED “JORDAN JUST SHOT HIMSELF IN THE FOOT” meaning Retaliation against me from the meeting we held the day before. After that meeting happened? 2 weeks later I received a call and they let me go. THE best preformer on nights and that’s even stated in my review and acutual words from my leadman mouth recently. I stayed late, came early and was even over productive & also didn’t go on breaks or lunch multiple days because of a hot jobs. JOHN MARTINEZ TOOK my job away from me because I voiced my concern about being Discriminated against & he retaliated back & refused me further employment with company as was stated in the private m"
