"Peon for life, the manager groped me all the time"

What do you like about working at MOCON?

"When the bosses weren't around it was laid back. I had my own little office/shop where I plugged away all day listening to scriptures and music. It was one of the best years of my life spiritually. The mountains were out the back door. I'd take hikes. There were lots of good people there. The manager was a a really good man. I worked for a division of Mocon. CXorporate always treated us well."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"I wouldn't recommend going to work for Baseline. They aren't stable and they are becoming less competitive by the year. Mocon seemed to be a good organization. I never met any one from worker bees to top management I wasn't impressed with."

What don't you like about working at MOCON?

"Remember this is Baseline, not Mocon. One of the founders sons ran ops. He had fired the good manager they had because they weren't selling the product well. This son would alternate between screaming at me and telling me how much he loved me. He would paw all over my legs, fondle my breasts, grab co-workers in the crouch. Yes, I filed a complaint, he's still there. They change ownership every couple years. You get the feeling that it's like WKRP in Cincinnati, the people there are very nice but they don't have, don't want, or couldn't get a better option to work elsewhere, so they stay."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Mocon as far as I know is great. Baseline really needs to work on product quality. I ship product that was worse than prototypes on the inside of the potting. What you do about the one guy is a complex issue I'm glad I don't have to deal with."
