"The people are generally nice, and the education credits (15 cr. hours/yr) would come in very handy if myself or my wife decided to further our education here."

"Try not to get frustrated by the lack of communication and ensuing apparent incompetency."

What don't you like about working at Missouri State University?

"Lack of advancement, low governmentally capped compensation, passable at best health insurance, governmental politics and hand wringing."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Try to run more like a business than a governmental body."

"It was a relatively easy job. I liked my students and I enjoyed making presentations in class."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"No. It tends to be a conservative organization but they are very lax about supervising teachers and professors."

What don't you like about working at Missouri State University?

"The administration was narrow minded and in my opinion hypocritical. I think they were more concerned about the prestige of their school than they were about really developing a solid program."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Lighten up and open up.. If faculty shows an interest in helping develop the program, don't turn them away. GEt them involved."
