"I was hired by Minarik in 2013; when I was interviewing for the job, everything seemed like it was a perfect fit. However, I did not do enough investigating into the company and why the position was being interviewed. I soon found out that there had been multiple people in my position with him a few short years. So I then found out that it would be an uphill battle. My advice to anyone who is looking into Minarik, is to beware in what you're getting into. Overall they are a good company."

What do you like about working at Minarik?

"Fast paced and technical. As sec. to the Pres., I learned about all the departments, not just sales"

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Company was recently purchased by Kaman Bearings, so it is no longer a small company"

What don't you like about working at Minarik?

"The area it was located. It was a dark dingy old building"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Watch your less achieving employees and reprimand as you deem necessary"

"Minarik is a great place for a newly graduated engineer to learn the Automation Industry."

What do you like about working at Minarik?

"The training investment was unbelievable. 6-8 months of intensive training and travel bring a new engineer up to speed very quickly. This position gives an engineer an opportunity to work in many different industries."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"The position of Applications Engineer is not about what you know, it's all about what you can learn. Most of what you learn you will teach yourself, so be prepared to study. Your catchphrase will soon become some variation on, I don't know, but I can find out."

What don't you like about working at Minarik?

"After the initial training, there is very little room to grow. The advancement path invariably requires an engineer to take an Outside Sales position, which does not appeal to me. I would very much like to find a position with some design work involved, preferably at the board/circuit level."
