What do you like about working at Morgans Hotel Group?
"I moved to CLIFT strictly because I was passionate about the Morgans Hotel Group brand and the opportunity to work the local pharmaceutical/medical market. At CLIFT, I lead Morgan's Pharmaceutical Vertical Market Sales Team, where through regular company conference calls, I organize and execute both West and East coast sales trips."
What don't you like about working at Morgans Hotel Group?
"After working two years at CLIFT, I have been disappointed with the company's lack of willingness to grow and develop. I have found that MHG is quicker to say 'NO' to a new idea than 'YES' which has been a frustrating environment to work in. Also, it has been difficult to manage the constant turn-over at CLIFT, such as having three Directors of Sales and Marketing since I started two years ago, not to mention two General Managers and two Directors of Revenue."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"My suggestion would be to have effective communication btw Corporate (NY) and individual property. Also, to be open to new sales ideas instead of worrying about what's 'On Brand.'"
