Metro Wastewater Reclamation District Employee

"I've worked at the Metro Wastewater Reclamation District for 3 years in and overall it has been a good experience. 4 - 10 hour work days with Monday or Friday off provides a great work-life balance, benefits and compensation are pretty standard, but retirement vesting is a 5 year period and 3 weeks of vacation comes after 5 years as well, I find this to be behind the curve of other companies I've worked for."

Metro Wastewater Reclamation District Employee

"Metro is a political subdivision of the State of Colorado, but employees are not State Employees and have fewer benefits, Pension Plan is better, though not solvent and may be liquidated. Environment is awful - this is a sewage plant and it smells, but even worse, it is next to a rendering plant and a petroleum plant so chemical and other horrible smells are constant. Also, in CO there are no State or Federal Laws to protect public employees, Mgmt are unprofessional, autocratic uncaring."
