"Working directly for the client has its rewards and it's challenges. It is very flexible as far as scheduling goes and I can work directly with her to set hours and dates. On the downside, there are not enough hours, the pay rate is quite low, she can cancel my shift at any time and there is no training offered through the company and pay rate is set by the patient. I consider her a friend and the line between friend and employee can often be blurred and I feel I can be taken advantage of often."
