Service Technician

"Good starting out Job in electronics."

What do you like about working at Measurement Systems International?

"This is a good beginning job for someone new to the electronic repair field. You can gain lots of experience in a short time. The hourly pay is above average for beginners (around $15 to $17 an hour.)"

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"No, I didn't have much of an interview, because I was very over-qualified for the job and willing to take less."

What don't you like about working at Measurement Systems International?

"There is too much micro-managing, (mainly by one manager) which in the end easily costs the company ten of thousands of dollars a year or more. There are no procedures in place to prevent the same mistakes from happening over and over. QA is undermanned. 1 person is doing the job of 6. There are no real promotional opportunities."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Take the time and spend the money to make MSI an ISO company. Increase the QA dept to at least 4 people. If ISO is not an option, at least create standards and procedures for assembly, repair, and inspection that are updated regularly. The people working these jobs should be able to create these documents without much problem."
