"I have no idea about the rest of the company, but the software development section is run very poorly. Poor communication, unrealistic expectations, frequent passive aggressive insults peppered with straight up insults.. it's not a great place to be. We were working on a new portal, but the basic process was 'here's a computer, and here's the code - finish it'. Alarm bells started ringing my first weekend when I had to badger just to get a walkthrough (very basic, and not very helpful) of the old website we were replacing. If you've ever worked a software job before then the culture here will be shocking. Management doesn't trust their employees, so you clock in and out just like you're working on a factory line. if you go to your car for 2 minutes to get something, better believe you're staying two minutes late!"
