"I was brought in to learn from a 35 year veteran of the company (the only estimator for the company ever). I believe it was nearly 2 months before I even received a computer to work with from my direct supervisor who is the VP of the company. At my departure, I was asked to communicate regularly with him about a new project and give him my evaluation of it. It was my very first experience with a project at that level, and when he determined my evaluation wasn't to his standard, I was fired."
