Production Supervisor

"I’ve worked for Magna seating since 2018 as a supervisor. Magna overall is a great company to work for they do have good ethics and the Human Resources team. They do push for improvement and have a good attention. Some things about the company fell on deaf ears. The communication from the production manager all the way down to the supervisor is very mercy. Different superintendents run their shifts differently as well. Sometimes when you work overtime the process is run different and when you press the issue nothing changes. The micromanagement is low and the expectations are high but achievable when you willing to put your heart and mind to it."

Process Engineer

"Been working here at Magna Seating for almost 4 years now, very growing global and national wise company. This company here where I work on average employs about 200 people. It's a two sided operation. One makes foam pad seats, the other side puts the cover on it which is currently being built in the Ford Escapes. there is very much room to advance and grow here, but I'm just seeking to get closer back to my home town Selma Alabama."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"The management there has quite an authoritative management style. People working in today's workplaces are no longer loading pig-iron so-to-speak. Time-management studies went out the door in business management nearly a century ago because of the psychological effect they had on workers."
