"A software company at heart, Lyft is a difficult place to advance if you are a hardware engineer."
"Lyft needs to work on its Employee/Driver relationships. The line of communication can be better and stronger between the Lyft employees and the independent contractors (the drivers)."
"Lyft is a great company to work for, you have the ability to be remote, work hard and play hard. The social impact initiatives they are focused on truly differentiate them from their competitors. Overall I recommend."
"I've been at Lyft for more than a year. The culture is amazing & the people are motivated to change the world with the work they do."
"Lyft has been a great to company to work for with caring people! The CEO's are inspiring!"
"I came to Lyft in Nashville with the perception of an innovative and progressive company that celebrated and valued diversity and career growth. I was on the Driver Growth Team, Outbound Innovations Team as they were last known, from April 2nd, 2018 to July 7th or so of this year before transferring to the Social Media team. I was this company for 17 months roughly and I am leaving with a much different perception of the company that I came in with. What attracted me to Lyft was the collaboration and projects that I was empowered to be a part of. To show my eagerness to learn and grow, I was involved in multiple projects, including the creation of Mini-TOM, which allowed the agents on the team to efficiently get drivers on the road. I did more than enough to prove my ability by getting involved with projects and even starting a few projects myself. But there are many instances where unfair practices took place and growth opportunities were provided to a select few, who were set up for success. While I was eager to participate in projects, I was not given the same chance to learn or trained as other co-workers that were handpicked to receive the training and development to take over a higher position without prerequisites and expectations placed on others. For the Mini-TOM project, I had to fight for the sole credit of that project as the leads, Elizabeth Kendall and Tom Knight tried to delegate that to other people that were not me. I was commended for my hard work and respected by the members on that team but I was still never considered for any growth opportunities. During my touch base meetings, I always wanted to know how I was doing in my role and what I needed to be considered for a promotion when the time came. I was constantly given the same script that I was doing well, what I was currently doing was what I needed to do to be able to advance with Lyft. My time there I was passed over for promotions that I had the experience and qualities to lead a team."
"flat org, no egos - great opportunity for growth - bandwidth, manager always checks in to see if you are overwhelmed or need help - close with lead/management = great opportunity for both parties to grow together and learn from each other, hands off but there when you need - mgmnt always has your best interest in mind and will fight for you - mgmnt goes out of her way to bring culture to office, she genuinely.. Its very flexible. You can work whenever you want or not work without worrying about the schedule. People are generally very friendly. You get paid weekly. Pay is pretty good. Cons Can be hard on your body. Driving gets tiresome. It can also get pretty boring because you constantly have the exact same conversation over and over. Also the management is always threatening to terminate you if you don't have prefect feedback from customers."
"I currently work for Lyft since 2018. Since working there, I have met a tremendous amount of amazing people throughout my time of transporting."
"Great. Enjoy being around people who likes being part of a team."
"It’s a job. Don’t get your hopes up too high about anything. Even if you do everything correctly you’ll still be confused come review time"
