"This company hires people with the Churn and Burn mindset. They burn through employees like no other entertainment company that I have worked for previously. The previous three people in my position were only there for about a year or so. The management is weak and only looking for major deals without giving much recognition to those below them. Not much room to grow for a career in this place. The perks are seductive and if you know the right people you can get to see a lot of free shows. All departments are very guarded and there is red tape all over this company."

"They are the best of both worlds: the scrappiness of a startup while the financial backing of a publicly traded company"

"I worked for LiveNation for 4 years. I found the people helpful and cooperative and the work very stimulating. I worked in the San Francisco office concentrating on special projects and load testing. I would return if given the opportunity though the TicketMaster merger, which occurred just after I left, has changed things."

"Live Nation is generally a good company but workplace conditions and job satisfaction vary wildly from department to department depending on the supervisor. Live Nation unfortunately places little value on it's employees and assumes if you leave there is someone else out there who would be happy to work there. HR and upper management are both useless when it comes to complaints about bad supervisors. Work life balance doesn't exist and no one seems to care."

"I worked for Live Nation for over two years, as their Media and IT coordinator. I was in administration, and was promised more than minimum wage prior to getting hired. I was never given a raise, despite the promises. There were very few tools provided, so I had to use my own tools. Most days were 10+ hours of work, with a break if you're lucky. Poor work conditions, but a great atmosphere!"

"The team I was with was amazing, but Live Nation as a whole fails to stand out as a company. Management is unable to resist many of the negative and counterproductive trends in the software engineering world, such as bullpen offices, endless charettes, and mixed messages about priorities (meeting deadlines vs. encouraging risk-taking and innovation, system flexibility vs. detailed and complex environments). OK for a short tenure but not a good place to build a career."
