"I have worked for Leica Biosystems for the past year selling Companion Diagnostic Medical Devices to pharmaceutical discovery and development companies. This is a high level sell which in total is around $13 million in revenue. This involves alliance management selling services at all levels including C suite, R&D, brand sales and accounting teams. This follows 16 years of work in the LIfe Sciences field working in sales, commercial brand marketing, payer reimbursement and customer service plans as well Profit and Loss revenue reivews for commercial marketing plans. In all aspects, information and knowledge are what drives the business."

"I would not recommend Leica. It used to be a decent place to work. Since new upper management it has been extremely unpleasant. The focus has changed from working for the customer to trying to stay afloat on top of tons of additional paper. Their new "metrics" is hilarious and out of date! People cheat the system or just reside in a busy area that works with their new system. It's funny how customers love you yet their new systems and paperwork may display the opposite! You cannot win. They treat you like a juvenile and MICROMANAGE (yes danger)! They act as if you're always in the state of mind that you're trying to screw them over when in fact, obviously, we're all just trying to be professionals. The second worst place for micromanaging that I've ever worked."

"Good Products, mediocore service"

What do you like about working at Leica Geosystems?

"Never-ending innovations!"

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"you must be able to cope in the aforementioned environment. You must express your sincere willingness to follow existing leadership. You should express your willingness to learn from the colective school of hard-knocks taught by current management."

What don't you like about working at Leica Geosystems?

"Current senior and unit-level managers in the USA are under-educated, politically-oriented, bureaucratic power-brokers with negative creativity. These people inherited their positions and unlike the original value-creators, are going through the motions as ineffective non-value producers. They do not demonstrate knowledge of the basic essences to business, other than those acquired through their own esoteric life experiences."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Senior Corporate Management should deploy the services of an external firm to conduct a management effectiveness study of the USA management team. The predictable results if acted on, will cause a huge reorganization of upper management, sending many of them back to their core competencies."
