"Don't bother, continue your job search elsewhere. Or take the job and immediately start working on your exit strategy while enjoying the income"

"We have a reasonable amount of responsibility, but almost no authority, and when we do make decisions they are as likely as not to be overridden"

"a more forward looking emphasis and instill a greater sense of ownership"

"That I get to be creative and learn a lot. I have added new skills to my repertoire over time."

"It is a high pressure environment as funding is scarce at the moment (2012) and it is an environment in which you have to keep learning new stuff because it does not just fund similar work or continuation of a project."

"The amount of pressure and the work-life balance. I have stopped having any hobbues."

"If I were my own boss, I would be less demanding and tough and I would work towards creating an environment to get the best out of me."

"Be advised that you can be layed off at any time otherwise, it was a good experience working for them."

"I did not like that and perhaps more a reflection of the current DOE budgent that the company was not able to have back up work for employees."

"I would of expected management to at least be able to sit down with you prior to laying an employee rather than allowing an assistant to do so."

"The company is big and if you don't make a significant contribution, you can be overlooked quite easily."

"Management can ask for more input on a variety of issues from staff."

"I worked for the laboratory for 3 years. Best 3 years of employment of my life. Hated leaving but I had to move out of state."

"Physical work environment can be difficult and the worry over yearly budget can be stressful. I do get a long well with my managers and co-workers and programming for a living is a dream job."

"I've been working with the topic about Malware detection with Los Alamos National Lab. We had a great time collaborate with each other, and the sources they have are advanced and innovative. Also, they have a great connection with academic which they are willing to try new theorem and apply to the real problems. It's a really good chance for a PhD student like me to involve in industry by this process."
