"I had worked for the company for over 9 years. The company moved the factory location from South Carolina to Matamoras, Mexico. A core group from the factory of only 6 people initially went to the location and started from a green field site. Of the 6 original employees that put alot of blood, sweat and tears into this start up, only 3 remain. 1 the owner, 1 was originally one of my production supervisors and 1 cost accounting person. The other 3 basicalIy did not like the area and sought other employment.The Chairman of the company, which is family owned was very good to me and my family during my tenure at Kwalu. I basically thought that my job was secure, but evidently I had trained Mexican personnel up to a level where one actually replaced me!!Other than that I enjoyed working for this company as it was fast paced and the product lines were extensive and there was a new challenge everyday."
