"Taken for granted.Any time you go the extra mile, it's expected of you all the time and you are penalized.I worked 50 to 60 hours per week as a salaried employee for 10 years. Once I cut back my hours to 45, I was let go for being incompetent and was replaced by a new hire for half my salary. I was told she was being hired to be my assistant and once I trained her I was let go."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Treat your loyal employees like people and not some commodity or cattle to be sold. Don't give them great reviews and bonuses for 10 years then get rid of them because you can get someone cheaper."
