"Nothing new under the sun. This company is the same as all the other corporate businesses that claim they are the number one child care provider in the country. Low staffing issues, low wages for employees (though we're not doing it for the money, right?), gossip among employees, very few "thanks" from families, not enough supplies/support to keep children engaged, and the list goes on and on. I don't blame KinderCare. This country does not value education the way other countries do. So, money will never be invested the way it should be toward the things that really matter-the children. Teachers will continue to be overworked, underpaid, and thus will suffer burnout. It's an epidemic across the entire field. But if you have the heart and are dedicated to making a difference, it can be done, no matter the company."

"working with the children doing projects and learning games as well as helping them grow"

"do not expect too much you will be highly dissapointed"

"The professional working enviornment and working together as a team."

"I would tell someone interviewing at the company that they must be passionate about what they do because it can be rough in the beginning with the children being so young. However, if you love what you do you can learn quickly how to connect with each child and make the classroom run as smooth as possible and still be a great, fun learning enviornment."

What don't you like about working at KinderCare Learning Center?

"I didn't appreciate the wrath of disrespectful parents in the enviornment"

"I have no suggestions for my director because she does a great job reaching out to all parents, staff and students. She is always motivating us to do better."

"Working with children and being in the same place with my son."

"It is hard and, many times, frustrating work. There is not a lot of support from management."

"The lesson plans where pre made with little to no room for creativity for the teacher. Too many children per class so there is little personal attention to each child."

"Think more about the children and the staff and less about money."

"There were opportunities for advancement but difficult at time because of being a male."

"Improve on the curriculum and add more diversity based on regions rather than one fits all approach."

"I would ask the current employees at the center you apply at how they feel about the company, wish I would have asked before I started!"

What don't you like about working at KinderCare Learning Center?

"Lack of communication, no room for teacher creativity. Teachers often do not feel appreciated, even during Teacher appreciation week, all we got was a letter, and a bowl of fruit... this company brings in lots of money, come on now! Management often doesn't work with you as a team, they sit in the office and act as a dictator! No bathroom breaks! Just complete chaos!! RUN!"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Pay attention to the needs of your employees, quit worrying so much about the money that you forget that we are not robots! Treat us with respect, we do the most important job, and that is taking care of tomorrows future! I understand money is part of it, but its not everything!"

"I like being able to interact with everyone here, parents and teachers. I like being the person that everyone turns too. However their is no growth, or challenge."

"Good for college students, not for a long- term, full-time position."

What don't you like about working at KinderCare Learning Center?

"Everything at KinderCare is based on ratios. When my boss decides to not come in, I am left to manage the center alone for the day, attending to 20 teachers and 75 children. It is very difficult, and very annoying.I have worked with this company for 3 years, and there is no room for growth, or monetary increases."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Be present at the center more often, rather than taking off for frivolous things. I would be open to my employees and they will know exactly what is needed to fulfill their jobs successfully."
