Receptionist
in Miami Beach, FL

"Kimley-Horn was doing great while the construction boom was going on. Since 2008 it continues to layoff and close offices. It mainly relied on State andn Federal contracts which allowed them to charge higher fees. If when the economy recovers KHA does not clean up their old ways, they will not be able to compete against its leaner and more equitable competitors."

What do you like about working at Kimley-Horn Associates?

"KHA gave me the opportunity to learn about the engineering business and exposed me to new software as well as to work under a very disciplined environment."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"If you are lookingn for job security, do not apply for this company while layoffs and office closings continue. Company is very structured and expects all employees to adhere to its modus operandi."

What don't you like about working at Kimley-Horn Associates?

"KHA's management style is geared to making every employee profitable and to that end every employee must charge every hour of its working day to an especific contract regardless of whether it is true or not. Very deceptive. This fosters distrust in their business practices among the staff."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"At present over 75% of the management is gone. This shows that KHA was not able to foresee the market trends. My suggestion is to manage the business with a proactive approach."
