Working at Kiddie Kandids in Raritan, NJ: 1 Employee Reviews

District Manager

"Kiddie was great - innovative, and a leader - they COULD be again."

What do you like about working at Kiddie Kandids?

"When I first started it was an amazing place, full of ideas, potential, hard work and a sense that from the president down, all were in it together! I really liked the families that we got to affect every day, and my associates and Managers."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Good luck, make sure you understand that you would be going to work for a company currently caught in an identity crisis, with no end in sight."

What don't you like about working at Kiddie Kandids?

"When they took on investors, they lost the core concept thst made them the innovators in the industry, and a thriving business. They became a bottom-line driven, corporate culture that was fueled by fear of termination rather than a desire to succeed for the customer."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Figure out what actually WORKED before everything became unglued. The economy is terrible right now, for everyone - professional pictures are a luxury at best, now does not seem to be the time to turn away from your decades long loyal family of customers to attempt to transform yourselves into a different type of company. Go back to the core values that made KK great, and stop chasing the next last great thing just because your competitors do... That has never been the KK brand."
