Software Developer

"The kern high school district while being a really good place to work for in terms of salary and benefits suffers from the usual issues with government work. The inability to properly adapt to cutting edge technology and aging population of the workforce makes it highly immobile. I would want anyone to be working here to be satisfied with using the same technologies for a very long time. The management has to deal with contracts and a lot of proper implementation of software usually is halted to make sure that the customers are happy; in our case the customers are actually other employees who do not particularly like new technologies, which causes a viscous cycle of immobility."
